These trees grow very quickly.  They are protected by Curitiba City, so it is very difficult to cut one down.  It is better just to wait until if falls down, taking your house with it.

This is Belwan, the owner of the Casa de Estudantes where I have lived now for more than seven months, longer than anyone else.  The woman is his girlfriend.  She is an architect, as is everyone here, if they are not lawyers or doctors.
